It’s time for the planning process for the 2008 Holiday De Lites Celebration, scheduled for December 6th, to begin and once we are seeking sponsors and supports to help make this time-honored tradition a continued success.
Holiday De Lites began through the efforts of the Rivertown District Merchant’s efforts to help economically disadvantaged children enjoy the holiday season and holding true to tradition, we will once again collect toys for Grannies Anonymous to be distributed to local children during the holidays.
Each year we are committed to making the event a bigger and better celebration. Some traditions remain the same even after 20+ years. The Street Parade, Lighted Boat Parade, and the Tree Lighting Ceremony with Santa and Mrs. Clause will continue to delight young and old alike and for the 2nd year, we will have “snow”. Give Always to Others & Company will again support the celebration by broadcasting the street parade on Comcast cable channel 24.
The City of Antioch continues to support the free Holiday De Lites Celebration, but we still need support from Antioch’s business community; can you help? Please consider sponsoring the event, through monetary or in-kind donations (see attached Sponsorship Opportunities information). Your contributions will be received by the Arts & Cultural Foundation, a 501c3 organization; tax ID# 68-0479175.
The Holiday De Lites Committee is committed to keeping this
tradition going and as a member of the Antioch Business community we
hope that you will help support this hometown celebration.
