Celia Chow Huddleston was born in China. Her
Chinese name is Shung-Hwa Chow, and she sometimes signs her work
with her playful nickname - Honeydew. Celia received her B.A. In
Fine Art from Normal University in Taiwan. She went on to study
Chinese brush painting under renowned painters Hwang Chun Pi and
Sun Ja Chin. Celia came to the United States in 1977. She
exhibits widely in the Bay Area. Celia is a highly versatile
artist. She is an accomplished Chinese brush painter. She freely
works in both Eastern and Western painting styles. Often, her
work is a synthesis of both styles. Also, she works in three
dimensional mediums, particularly ceramics.
