The Arts &
Cultural Foundation of Antioch was proud to present art works from
students from local elementary schools. The Art4Schools Program is
sponsored through a Keller Canyon Mitigation Grant, provided by
Contra Costa County District V Supervisor Federal Glover.
Beginning in January, local artists
taught various programs at the two participating schools, John Muir
and Carmen Dragon. Students learned pottery, dance, Chinese brush
painting, songwriting and more.
The program highlight
was the Student Art Exhibit at the Lynn House Gallery from May
24th through June 3rd. The artist reception was held on
Wednesday, May 24th.
The Lynn House gallery is
located at 809 W. 1st Street in Antioch (across from the Amtrak Train
Station) and is open Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays, during exhibits
from 12 noon - 5 PM. Admission is free.
