Antioch Collegiate
Jazz Festival

May 5, 2007 at 1:00 p.m.
EL CAMPANIL THEATRE

The Antioch Music Foundation  will showcase collegiate jazz talents in the Bay Area in the form of small ensembles (quartets to sextets) at the Antioch Collegiate Jazz Festival.  Four highly acclaimed Bay Area college jazz groups are performing, namely: CSU – East Bay, CSU – Fresno, CSU - San Jose and the University of the Pacific. In addition, the audience will be inspired by a special guest performance by A CHRISTIAN MCBRIDE SITUATION led by 2005 Grammy Award Winner Christian McBride.

We aim to encourage jazz appreciation in the community, as well as motivate high school students to a college education in Music.

Tickets available through the EL CAMPANIL THEATRE website (click on link above or see information at the bottom of this page).

A reception following the event will be held at the Lynn House Gallery,  featuring local artist "Nancy Roberts: Inspired by Jazz".

Don't miss the opportunity to meet the performers, including  2005 Grammy Award Winner Christian McBride, and enjoy the jazz inspired art work of Nancy Roberts at the Lynne House Gallery. For more details regarding the artist or reception, click here.
