March also begins our Spring school tours for all the third grade classes studying local history. Tours are from 8:30 am to 12:30 pm and include all areas of the museum, including the McCoy Cook house showing early pioneer living. The students eat lunch in the Gazebo and return to school mid day. The March schedule is March 3rd, Belshaw Elementary; March 10th, Mno Grant Elementary; March 24th Marsh Elementary; March 31st, Sutter Elementary School.

The tours are completely free to all teachers, students, and parents and the bus transportation is provided by the Keller Canyon Mitigation Fund Grant to the Historical Society. This is a partnership for education and history between the Historical Society, the School District and Keller Canyon Grants.

The month of March will also bring Renovation and Restoration to the "Saloon" display as our restoration projects continue at the museum. The Saloon is having it's ceiling replaced, room painted, and all new displays created.
