Like the quilts of Gees Bend, which were displayed in museums across the country, we believe quilt making has shown the history and development of East County and has played an important social, cultural and practical role in the history of Eastern Contra Costa County. From farming and mining to industrial to suburb, we are looking for the progress of quilt making in our communities.
